Disaster Management
SIDHI, in partnership with PLAN Foundation, is deeply committed to supporting communities impacted by natural disasters across Himachal Pradesh. Together, we have been working on the ground to identify vulnerable families, assess their urgent needs, and deliver timely relief. As part of this effort, SIDHI has distributed comprehensive disaster relief kits to affected households in Karsog of Mandi district and Ganvi of Shimla district, ensuring that families receive essential supplies during moments of crisis. This collaboration reflects our shared mission to promote resilience, restore hope, and help communities rebuild their lives with dignity after devastating calamities. Total 287 families were benefited with this initiative.
Recognition of Prior Learning
SIDHI is committed to empowering the youth of Shimla district through targeted skill development initiatives designed to enhance employability and livelihood opportunities. Understanding the need for practical, industry-aligned skills, SIDHI has been working closely with local communities to identify gaps and deliver training programs that create real impact. Our focus remains on equipping young individuals with the competencies required to participate in the region’s growing development activities, particularly in sectors that demand skilled manpower.
In partnership with Jal Jeevan Mission Himachal Pradesh, SIDHI successfully provided Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) training to 300 youths across Shimla district. This initiative ensured that individuals already engaged in field work received formal certification, improved technical know-how, and enhanced confidence to perform their roles more effectively. By validating existing skills and promoting continuous learning, SIDHI aims to strengthen the local workforce, boost employment prospects, and contribute to the sustainable development of the district.
Current Project
SIDHI is undertaking a comprehensive survey and study of 70,000 trained candidates of HPKVN to assess their post-training employment status and career progression. This large-scale initiative aims to generate accurate, data-driven insights into how skill development programs have impacted livelihoods across Himachal Pradesh. By evaluating employment outcomes, sector placements, and challenges faced by candidates, SIDHI seeks to support evidence-based decision-making and contribute to strengthening future training initiatives for greater effectiveness and reach.
